The home brew certificate i am using in my router has the right domain-name, is not expired, but obviously (since it is self-signed) is not 'trusted'. How does Sticker judge these things and is it possible to ovveride this error, like all web browsers and mail clients allow you to do. Sigh ... hiking in Spain is so much more fun than this windowless office... Anyway, Sticker just uses je4 for all its Elvin'ing, so there's not much I can do unfortunately. je4 doesn't have a callback in the case of untrusted certs, so Sticker can't ask the user. When Sticker gets ported to the (nascent) Java client library that's being developed as part of Avis, that will be an option we can add. Matt. Avis implements only version 4.0 of the Elvin protocol (the only one published atm) and thus rejects requests specifying 4.1 (which Aquatik and the libelvin-based clients use by default). I could relax the check, but it would negate the value of specifying the version in the first place. In the meantime, you can explicitly specify the protocol as 4.0 by using elvin:4.0//avis-host-name as the URL in Aquatik. Cheers, Matthew. Will people automatically see everyone connected to the server? Or do you need to add them to a buddy list? What is a presence group as defined in sticker? The other problem I'm having is that even though I can connect to the Avis router with Aquatik now for some reason people can't see private messages ie those sent the Aquatik users personal channel. Did you mean integrating snarl or Growl? I've been thinking of adding Growl support for a while now (http://growl.info/documentation/ developer/java/), and if you're interested in snarl, we should look at doing it in a way that can be chosen at runtime depending on platform. I'm thinking of adding "Growl" action to the message rule system to control which messages show up. Cheers, Matthew.
